ABOUT
The Destined 2 Achieve Track Team (D2A) encourages athletic camaraderie and supports coaching for all athletes. The D2A Track Team acknowledges its duty to serve all athletes throughout the broad spectrum of the runner’s skills and is committed to a total community involvement.
D2A Track Team activities include a summer track program open to all runners, and being commented to performing a community service activity every year. Our program offers athletes a dynamic balance through team/individual elements of track and field as a medium to strengthen work ethics and foster self-esteem. Track is not about just running and athletic conditioning; moreover, it’s a training ground for our next generation of productive citizens.
Team members learn the lessons that competition teaches both on the athletic field and in life. They also learn to combine self-discipline, training, and dedication; lessons that carry over into all aspects of their lives.
PURPOSE
Destined 2 Achieve Track Team exists to develop, train, and inspire its athletes to do their best. We provide a place for athletes to grow, develop and compete where all are welcome and where all benefit from the program. We create a cross-training environment that benefits multiple types of athletes regardless of their preferred event or sport. We encourage athletes to balance sports, academics, and leadership so that when their high school careers come to an end, they have multiple opportunities. We create a track team that sincerely welcomes all, but also performs at an extraordinary level in national competitions. We share our love of track and field so that our athletes see the beauty of humankind’s First Sport.
